Colònia de Sant Jordi is a lovely seaside town with a relaxed vibe. From here, you can easily access two of Mallorca’s most stunning beaches: Es Trenc is famous for its long stretch of white sand and crystal-clear waters while Es Carbó is a bit more secluded and requires a walk to reach, but the tranquility is worth the effort.
For an off-the-beaten-path adventure, take a boat trip to Cabrera Island, part of the Cabrera Archipelago National Park. This uninhabited island is a protected area with stunning natural beauty, clear waters, and rich marine life.
Santanyí is a charming village known for its vibrant market and beautiful stone buildings. It’s the perfect place to wander around, grab a coffee, and soak in the local atmosphere, especially on market days. Nearby, you’ll find Cala Llombards, Caló del Moro, and Cala S’Almunia—three of the most beautiful coves on the island.
The Parc Natural de Mondragó is a haven for nature enthusiasts, offering hiking trails and two gorgeous beaches: Cala Mondragó and Cala S’Amarador. Both beaches boast soft sand and clear waters, perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Be aware that during peak season, it can feel like half of Europe decided to visit at the same time.
Cala d'Or is a lively resort town with a mix of sandy beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. The town’s marina is filled with yachts, and the surrounding area offers plenty of dining options. While it’s a fun place to visit, it can be quite crowded and touristy, especially during the summer months.
Finally, make your way to Puig de Sant Salvador, a hilltop sanctuary offering panoramic views of Southern Mallorca. The drive up is winding and narrow, but the vistas from the top are breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see the entire southeastern coast.
