Montenegro's coastline is famous for its bustling beaches and vibrant seaside towns, but for those who crave tranquility and untouched natural beauty, there are still a handful of more secluded / off-the-beaten-path beaches offering to experience the Adriatic coast at its most pristine.
- Uvala Veslo: Located on the Luštica Peninsula, Uvala Veslo is a hidden cove that offers a perfect escape for those seeking solitude and pristine nature. This rocky beach is less frequented due to its remote location and challenging access, which involves a drive along narrow, winding roads followed by a hike. There are no amenities, so come prepared with all necessary supplies
- Zagorski Pijesak Beach: A secluded and pebbly beach located near the village of Zagora. The road leading to the beach is in a terrible state, so you'll need an off-road car or you'll have to walk the last 1.5km on a rocky path. There are no facilities on site
- Crvena Glavica: South of Sveti Stefan, Crvena Glavica is a collection of small, rocky beaches that offer a sense of seclusion despite their proximity to a major tourist attraction. The red rocks and clear, deep blue waters provide a dramatic and beautiful setting
- Drobni Pijesak: Hidden below the coastal road between Budva and Petrovac, this beach is less accessible than others in the area, requiring a descent down a steep path, which helps keep the crowds at bay. Facilities are minimal, with a small beach bar providing the essentials
- Presjek Beach: Located near the village of Reževići, this tranquil stony beach is ideal for snorkeling or finding your own secluded swimming spot. To reach it, follow the footpath that begins at the car park below the village church and continues through the woods
- Perazića Do Beach: Located near Petrovac, this beach remains a relatively undiscovered spot. This beach features a combination of sand and pebbles, and it is backed by dramatic cliffs. The abandoned hotel above the beach adds a sense of mystery.
- Fenix Beach: A small, hidden cove that offers a peaceful retreat and only accessible by boat. Expect limited amenities, just a small beach bar and a few sun loungers in summer
- Lučice Beach: This beach is framed by cypress trees and oleanders, creating a lush and serene environment. Accessible from Petrovac by a short walk through forest paths, Lučice offers a quieter alternative to the more crowded beaches nearby. Its beauty has not gone entirely unnoticed, so it can still get somewhat busy during peak season
- Kraljichina Beach: Located near the village of Čanj, this beach is accessible only by boat and ensures a more secluded experience. However, recent years have seen an increase in the number of visitors and the beach now offers sun loungers and a beach bar in summer
- Valdanos Beach: This remote and unspoiled beach remains off the radar for most tourists. This crescent-shaped bay is lined with olive trees, many of which are centuries old. You will find a handful of sun loungers and a restaurant on site
- Murići Beach and Godinje Beach: On the shores of Lake Skadar, those 2 beaches offer stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains while providing a serene swimming experience away from the crowds on the coast
